Discover all of the Bibs in the Bay, for (slightly) more affordable and informal dining destinations

View as Map

After taking a year off for the pandemic, Michelin has updated its California guide for 2021, with a fresh round of stars and a fresh list of Bib Gourmand selections, a designation for restaurants that “offer a full menu of a starter, main course and dessert, making it possible to order two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for around $40 or less.”

147 California restaurants made the cut, from San Diego up to Napa. 71 of them were from the Bay Area and Sacramento, with 28 restaurants joining the party in 2021 and 29 from the 2019 list departing.

To discover the Bibs closest to you, here’s where to find all 71 restaurants across the greater Bay Area, stretching from Mendocino to Carmel — arranged geographically. Check it all out below, then when you’re ready for fine dining, head here to check out 2021's Michelin star recipients.

The latest CDC guidance is here; find a COVID-19 vaccination site here.
