Michelin season is off to an early start this year as the guide, previously dedicated to the Bay Area, expands to cover all of California. The first ever statewide list of Bib Gourmand selections has been released, a designation that “highlights restaurants that serve high-quality meals which include two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less.”
151 restaurants made the cut, from San Diego up to Napa. 72 of them were from the Bay Area area and Sacramento, with nine new restaurants joining the party and several departing after they closed.
New to the map: Canon, Frank Fat’s, and Mother of Sacramento, Harborview and Z&Y Bistro in San Francisco, Yafa in Carmel-by-the-Sea, La Calenda in Napa, Stockhome in Petaluma, and Pig in a Pickle in Corte Madera.
