Bar Ag's prime outdoor seating is way more enjoyable when the sun is shining. Sure the cocktails are a bit strong for the daytime hours, but chef Brandon Jew's delicious egg dishes and housemade sausages are hearty enough to soak it all up.

The Maven team's artful pairing of cocktails to food makes for the hottest new brunch to hit the Lower Haight in years. A "death in the morning" cocktail cedes to Mezcal-infused chorizo, "billionaires bacon," and a souffled German pancake, with calvados applesauce and cinnamon.

Work off a hangover on MBC's huge patio with a spiked libation and rich loco moco, than work off brunch with a round of bowling indoors.

Nojo's farm-loving, San Franciscan approach to Japanese flavors translates to eye-opening brunch fare like fried spam and eggs with pickles and nori sauce, French toast (with kinako butter), and a chicken katsu sandwich.

Grab a pitcher of Mexican mules, and work your way through the menu of "Toasts" and warm baguettes layered with seasonal ingredients, several pancake options and upscale dishes like butter lettuce with Maine lobster or polenta cakes with poached eggs and truffle salsa verde.

AQ Restaurant & Bar

Although AQ is getting all kinds of national attention for its dinner and decor, brunch is a special little secret for the locals. Housemade buttermilk donuts, soft scrambled eggs and French toast get seasonal spins, and the bar follows suit.

Order a benedict from Zazie's extensive list of options, sweet ginger or pumpkin pancakes, toss in some bacon, and split it with the table so everyone gets savory and sweet. Seats on the flower-draped ridiculously charming heated outdoor patio make the meal.
