In the great tradition of the Eater 38, we could probably come up with a long list of 38 places that serve decent omelets in this city. Instead we offer the Eater Brunch Heat Map, featuring favorite hot new brunches in town, along with restaurants that somehow have kept the brunch buzz alive over time—possibly thanks to the amazing things they do with eggs. All of the spots on this list serve great food in cool dining rooms, and most offer something a little more interesting than your average pancakes and over-easies. For today's December update, Zazie, Universal Cafe, Mission Beach Cafe and Plow have all been added. As always, state your cases for or against any and all brunches in the comments.
