View as Map

Though it was slightly overshadowed this go-round by its once-in-a-lifetime collision with Thanksgiving, Hanukkah remains in full swing through Thursday night, giving diners ample opportunity to catch up on their latke intake. As is traditional, foods fried in oil (like the aforementioned potato pancakes or sufganiyot, jelly donuts topped with powdered sugar) are the centerpiece, but classic Jewish favorites like bagels and lox, chopped liver, kugel, matzo-ball soup, and more also make appearances. Whether it's latkes catered at home or a fancy seven-course artisanal feast, here's our essential guide to Hanukkah dining.
